Conwy and the Sychnant Pass

Conwy and the Sychnant Pass

The beautiful little town of Conwy is home to the annual Honey Festival, always a must visit on our calendar as it's a chance to stock up with honey from a wide range of local producers. We normally buy enough for the year. It never ceases to amaze me how different honeys can be and I can never now settle for the mass produced supermarket versions.

The Honey Festival isn't the only reason to visit Conwy though. It's home to the famous Conwy Castle and the Smallest House in Britain. It's a great place to take a boat trip along the coast and of course to sample the famous Conwy mussels.

If visiting the town isn't enough, the beautiful Sychnant Pass up to Conwy Mountain is a very short drive away. You'll need walking gear but the walk up to the Iron Age Hillfort of Caer Seion will reward you with some great views of the towns of Llandudno and Conwy as well as some beautiful scenery.
